[ Water service ]

Water service penetration in Aichi-Nagoya is 99.8%. Water service is provided by the waterworks department of the municipality or by water supply authorities.
When you start using water, contact the municipal waterworks bureau or its regional office. In areas equipped with a sewage system, you are required to pay affluent charges as well as water bills.

[ Telephone ]

When you wish to have a new telephone line installed, contact NTT WEST (Tel: 116). Installation of a new telephone line requires a start-up fee of 840 yen (including consumption tax), an installation fee of 37,800 yen (including consumption tax) and the cost of the telephone.

Household garbage should be properly sorted in accordance with the regulations of the municipality. After separation by type (such as burnable, non-burnable and recyclable), garbage should be placed in a designated location at the designated time.
