Japan - Korea - China Industrial Fair 2007 In Seoul

I-BAC took part in Japan - Korea - China Industrial Fair 2007 which was held in Seoul on June 13-16, 2007. Organized by JETRO, KOTRA and CCPIT, Industrial Fair was attended by a total of 8,203 people. During its 4-day period, the I-BAC officers visited more than 100 booths so that the Korean and Chinese exhibitors could better understand the business environment of Aichi-Nagoya.

I-BAC also took this opportunity to make an on-site inspection of a Korean company in the suburb of Seoul. The precision tools manufactuerer, with substantial volume of business with Japanese car makers, intends to establish a factory in or near Nagoya, had earlier contacted I-BAC in relation to acquisition of land. The I-BAC officers met the CEO of this company and confirmed that I-BAC will continue to extend whatever assistance possible to make this project a reality.

Network Meeting for Foreign-Affiliated Companies in Aichi-Nagoya

On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, I-BAC organized a "Network Meeting for Foreign-Affiliated Companies," an opportunity for international businesses operating in this area to become better acquainted with each other and to further promote their business activities.

The meeting was attended by more than 100 participants, from not only foreign-affiliated companies, but also from local Japanese companies and foreign diplomatic establishments in Central Japan. Mr. Jiro Takahashi, Vice President of I-BAC, welcomed the audience, and Mr. Hideaki Imamura, Senior Vice President of Boston Consulting Group, delivered a lecture under the theme "From Nagoya to the world, from the world to Nagoya."

The reception which followed the meeting served as a "get acquainted" session where representatives of the foreign companies actively searched for new business opportunities. The "Network Meeting" thus obtained an outstanding success.
